1. Eligibility

For entry to be eligible, contestant must submit at least one before picture and one after picture. Contestants are welcome and encouraged to submit more than one of each type of photo. Any photo submitted must depict a recent renovation (within the last 6 months) that was done using flooring purchased from Floor Dealz. Products from other retailers may be included in submitted photos as long as the main subject of the photo (up to Floor Dealz’s discretion) is the flooring purchased from Floor Dealz. Submissions with flooring purchased from other retailers as the subject of the photo will not be eligible. 

2. Sponsorship

This contest is run by Floor Dealz. One or more Floor Dealz representatives will judge each entry based on creativity, uniqueness, style, and cohesiveness. Judging is subjective, and by submitting an entry you agree to abide by the decisions of the judge.

3. Agreement to Rules

Participants agree to abide by the official rules and decisions of Floor Dealz. Floor Dealz reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify entries at our discretion. By entering you agree that the decision of the judge is final.

4. Entry Period

Entry starts at the beginning of each quarter at 12am PST. End time is the last day of the quarter at 11:59 pm PST. Quarters are defined as the division of the calendar months into sets of three: January-March, April- June, July-September, October-December. Please allow up to two weeks for a winner to be declared. Any entry will automatically be placed into the contest based on time of submission.

5. How to Enter

Each contestant is allowed one entry per distinct renovation, subject to Floor Dealz discretion. The same renovation cannot be used for multiple competitions. Entrants are allowed to enter multiple competitions if they have multiple renovations using flooring purchased from Floor Dealz. If multiple submissions of the same project are submitted, Floor Dealz will attempt to combine these submissions, otherwise, the most recent submission will be the only submission that is judged. If multiple submissions of multiple projects are submitted, Floor Dealz reserves the right to accept, void, or combine any of the submissions. Each entry must be submitted by going to https://floordealz.com/renovation-contest/ and entering using the submission form provided at the top of the page. Name, email, approximate date of purchase, at least one before picture, and at least one after picture are all required for a valid entry. 

6. Prizes

Prizes will be given out in the form of a refund on the purchase of the flooring featured in the renovation project.

The prize amounts are as follows:

• 1st Place: $300 Rebate
• 2nd Place: $150 Rebate
• 3rd Place: $50 Rebate

Prizes must be claimed by the winner within a month of being notified. Please have the invoice number for the renovation material available. If the winner does not provide the invoice number for the renovation material, the order that the refund goes towards will be up to Floor Dealz discretion. Floor Dealz reserves the right to change the order the refund is made to even if the invoice number is provided.

7. Selection and Notification of the Winner

The top three entries will be selected by a select few members of the Floor Dealz team. First, second, and third place prizes will then be voted on by the Floor Dealz team, with each entry ranking according to the vote.

The winner will be selected by a representative of Floor Dealz. Entrants will be notified via email. The winner has one month after being notified to accept the prize. If the winner does not contact Floor Dealz within that month to claim the prize, the prize will no longer be available. Floor Dealz retains the rights to display the contest winner’s submissions as the winner of that month’s competition, even if the prize is not claimed.

Floor Dealz is not liable for the winner’s failure to receive notification of winning if he or she provided a wrong email address or incorrect phone number or if their email security settings caused the prize notification to go into the spam or junk folder.

8. Rights Granted by the Entrant

Upon submission of an entry the participant grants Floor Dealz the right to use the participant’s submission, voice, likeness, image, statements about the contest, etc., for publicity, news, advertising, promotional purposes, trade, and so forth, without any further notice, review, consent, compensation or remuneration.

9. Terms & Conditions

Floor Dealz reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate in the event that non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond the control of Floor Dealz impacts or corrups the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the contest. In the case of termination of the contest, entrants will be able to resubmit their previous submissions in the next contest.

Floor Dealz reserves the right to disqualify anyone who violates the terms, as well as the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law in cases where a participant has caused deliberate damage or undermined the legal operation of the promotion.

10. Disputes

As a condition of participating in the promotion, disputes not resolved between the participant and Floor Dealz shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in your state, without resorting to any form of class action. Entrants waive all rights to punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, and waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

11. Privacy Policy

All participants have a right to privacy. Private information such as address, contact information, etc., will be not be shared publicly nor with other businesses. All personal information records are kept private and may be requested to be deleted. Photo submissions and names are not considered personal information in this context and Floor Dealz reserves the right to use this information as listed under section 8, unless the participant requests otherwise.

12. Affirmation of Acceptance of and Agreement to All of the Official Rules

By entering the contest, the entrant has affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the the rules of the contest.
